Health Professions Move
We Have Big News!

In 2018, three College of Health Professions departments moved from San Marcos to the Round Rock Campus:
Courses
For bachelor’s degree programs in these departments, all upper-level (junior and senior) courses will take place at Round Rock.
Lower-level (freshman and sophomore) bachelor’s degree courses will continue to be completed at Texas State’s San Marcos campus or another institution.
All graduate-level courses in these departments will take place at Round Rock.
Clinics
All three departments brought their clinical practices to Round Rock, providing specialized healthcare for the community.
Planning
This transition is the first phase of Texas State’s long-term plan to move the entire College of Health Professions to Round Rock.
As a growing hub for medical services, Round Rock offers numerous opportunities for students to gain practical experience in their fields. Students will also have access to state-of-the-art technologies in the new health professions building on campus.
Until a second dedicated building is completed at Round Rock, some departments and offices of the College of Health Professions will remain on the San Marcos campus.
Located in San Marcos until Phase II of the move:
-
College of Health Professions dean’s office
-
Other support staff for the College of Health Professions
- Clinical Laboratory Science
- Health Administration
- Health Information Management
- Radiation Therapy
