Major in Education (Elementary Education; Teacher Certification in Early Childhood through Grade Six Core Subjects with English as a Second Language)

Our program has a strong emphasis on developing future teachers' instructional practices for the purpose of sustaining cultural and linguistic diversity and disrupting inequities in schools. Faculty members are passionate and committed to providing future teachers with opportunities to work closely with their community, engage in practice-informed experiences, and learn ways to be culturally and linguistically responsive. Future teachers learn teaching practices that are rooted in social justice.
