Fall Photography Exhibit 2011
Round Rock Arts Council whose purpose is to encourage, support and enhance current and new Arts & Cultural activities in the Round Rock area, is now accepting photography submissions from all artists 18 years of age and older who reside or work in the greater Round Rock area for its Fall Photography Exhibit. The exhibit will be hosted by the Round Rock Higher Education Center and the photographs will be displayed on the 4th floor of the Avery Building. Opening Night Reception is scheduled at the Round Rock Higher Education Center on September 23rd, 2011, 5:30 p.m. - 7:00 p.m., open to the public.

One Stop Center (OSC)

The Student Services (One Stop Center) is always a place where you can find exciting activities. Meet new faces on the team, Megan Weatherly, Karen Ripley and Joyce Purtle. Stay connected with the Writing Center for a variety of services to current students free of charge. Get to know our continuous partnership and support of the Caldwell Heights Elementary School in the STARS Mentor Program through 2011-2012 academic year. Last but not least, the ongoing planning for the next Bobcat Day Round Rock that will take place in October.

An accreditation review of Texas State University's Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) program will take place November 7-9, 2011 by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE). They will accept written, signed third-party comments until 30 days prior to the visit.

Dr. Marcy Guddemi, Executive Director of the Gesell Institute, and former Texas State University Professor, is a widely recognized expert in early education and assessment. Fall 2011 Lunch and Learn Series

After a successful "Lunch and Learn Lecture Series" last semester, Dr. Steve Springer, Graduate Advisor, Licensed Professional Counselor and Certified Public Manager, has planned another exciting series of lectures in Fall 2011. All lectures are free and open to the public!

October 18th, Noon - 1 p.m. - Joys and Pitfalls of Retirement (by Barbara Herdman and Dr. Springer)
November 8th, Noon - 1 p.m. - Making Your Marriage Stronger (by Dr. Springer)
December 6th, Noon - 1 p.m. - Dealing With Depression and Family Issues During Holidays

RRHEC Library RRHEC Library - New Look in Fall 2011

The RRHEC Library underwent a major makeover this past summer and now is better equipped for group study work as well as quiet study areas. The Library now comes with more places to lounge and read before class, meet with your group to discuss projects and upcoming tests, or find a place of solitude where you can focus on your studies alone. Located in Avery 255, the RRHEC Library is open Monday-Thursday 8:30 a.m. - 9:00 p.m., Friday 8:30 a.m. - 4:00 p.m., and closed on Saturday and Sunday. http://rrhec.library.txstate.edu
