Mission Statement

The One Stop Center (OSC) utilizes technological and personal resources to provide quality and convenient services that support and enhance the pursuit of students' educational goals.

Texas State Round Rock Campus (RRC) provides academic programs that help students achieve their educational goals and realize their dreams.

One Stop Center (OSC)

The One Stop Center (OSC) team, located in Avery 201, is eager to provide information and assistance for a variety of services. Helpful information is also online, such as updating your student information and ordering transcripts. Other services, such as advising, financial aid, and Veterans Affairs are also offered in person by appointment. More details about specific services are provided below.

Admissions

Our Admissions representative is available to provide information about any of our nine undergraduate, five certificate or eleven graduate programs. For further information or to request an appointment to review the degree plans offered at Texas State Round Rock Campus, please call Admissions at (512) 716-4040.

Academic Advising

Academic advisors are here to help you get the most out of your college experience by providing thorough academic advising for programs at the Round Rock Campus.

Academic advising for current Texas State students is provided by academic advisors and/or faculty. All students wishing to meet with a Texas State advisor are required to make an appointment.

Counseling and Career Services

If you desire assistance in choosing a career, a Student Specialist will provide information and guidance. You may choose to take an interest inventory assessment that will provide you with career suggestions based on your unique qualities. The Career Exploration Center on the first floor will provide additional assistance if needed.

The Counseling Clinic and Career Exploration Center do charge a small fee ($1-$20), based on a sliding scale.

Financial Aid and Scholarships

A Student Specialist is available to provide information regarding Financial Aid and Scholarships and the steps necessary to complete the process - how to apply for aid, accepting/rejecting aid, and paying your bill using your aid. CLICK HERE For more information regarding Financial Aid and Scholarships.

Texas State students may contact the financial aid representative at the Round Rock Campus by calling (512) 716-4007 or the Office of Financial Aid and Scholarships at the main campus by calling (512) 245-2315 (please indicate that you are taking classes at the RRC).

Disability Services

A Student Specialist is available to assist students with disabilities in achieving their educational goals and enhancing their leadership development. Services for students enrolled at the RRC are coordinated by the Texas State Student Specialist in the One Stop Center. The processes for accessing some services and accommodations at the RRC may differ from those described for the Texas State University-San Marcos campus.

If you have documentation of a disability and want to register with the Office of Disability Services (ODS), you will need to complete a Confidential Student Information form (available upon request) and provide a copy of your disability documentation to the ODS representative. This information will be sent to the ODS office on the main campus in San Marcos for review. A student must meet the criteria outlined in at least one of the ODS disability guidelines to qualify for services and accommodations at Texas State University-San Marcos and the RRC.

Following a review of the disability documentation, you will be contacted by an ODS representative for an appointment to review your approved accommodations. If the documentation submitted does not meet Texas State criteria, an ODS specialist will contact you to discuss what additional information is needed.

Texas State students may contact the ODS representative at the Round Rock Campus by calling (512) 716-4007 or the Office of Disability Services at the main campus by calling (512) 245-3451 (please indicate that you are taking classes at the RRC).

Veterans Affairs

A Student Specialist is available to review the documentation needed in order to establish and maintain your benefits at Texas State.

To apply for veterans education benefits, you must:

  1. Gain admittance to Texas State
  2. Declare a major & get an official Degree Outline
  3. Determine which U.S. Dept. of V.A. benefit program(s) (chapters) from which you are eligible
  4. If you are applying for Ch. 31 (Voc. Rehab), establish eligibility
  5. Complete the required forms for the program(s) (chapter) in which you are applying
  6. Gather any required supporting documents (marriage or birth certificate, etc)
  7. Turn in completed application to the Texas State Office of Veterans Affairs or to the RRC VA representative. Applications are processed through the U.S. Veterans Administration Regional Office in Muskogee, OK.

Texas State students may contact the Veterans Affairs Representative at the Round Rock Campus by calling (512) 716-4023 or the Office of Veterans Affairs at the main campus by calling (512) 245-2641 (please indicate that you are taking classes at the RRC).

ID Cards

Texas State BobcatCards will be distributed through the OSC. An OSC representative will take your picture and you can pick up the card within 2 - 3 business days from the front desk once you have made a payment on your course(s).

Payments

All credit card payments must be made online (no more credit cards at the cashier windows in San Marcos) and VISA will no longer be accepted. There is a 2.75% convenience fee with a minimum $3 per transaction fee associated with credit card payments, effective 5/1/2012. This is a non-refundable fee.

Students will still have the option to pay via e-check, cash (San Marcos only) or mail in a check to Student Business Services if they want to avoid the 2.75% convenience fee on credit card payments.

Testing

The Testing Coordinator will assist with scheduling tests in the OSC Testing Room. These tests include GSP, Correspondence Exams and Career Assessments. Students requiring accommodations should also contact the ODS representative at (512) 716-4007. Tests will require payment of a fee and are by appointment only. Please contact the Testing Center Representative at (512) 716-4020 or by email: rrc-testing@txstate.edu. Payments are taken upon arrival on the day of the exam. Cash or Checks only. Photo ID required.
