Transcript evaluation is a free service provided by the Round Rock Campus. As a prospective student, you can find out how your courses may transfer and apply to your Round Rock Campus degree program(s)* of interest prior to seeking formal admission to the university. You may pursue a transcript evaluation after you have earned a minimum of 45 credit hours in your freshman and sophomore level courses.
Please follow the steps included below to pursue a transcript evaluation:
Complete the brief form below to indicate your interest in a transcript evaluation for your degree program(s) of interest.
Submit your ApplyTexas application
Submit ALL official transcripts from the colleges or universities you have attended, along with your high school transcript.
You may mail your transcripts to Undergraduate Admissions in San Marcos.
You may mail or hand deliver your transcripts to the Round Rock Campus Student Services Suite, Avery Hall, Room 201.
Results will be e-mailed to you upon completion of your evaluation.
Upon receipt of all required documents, this process will take 2-3 weeks.
You will then have the option to schedule an appointment to review your evaluation with the Transfer and Graduate Coordinator at the Round Rock Campus.
If you have been following a Round Rock Campus Transfer Planning Guide or Round Rock Campus Degree Plan Check Sheet and will be 90% complete with the required lower-level courses for your program of interest, you should pay the application fee to conclude your application process rather than pursuing the transcript evaluation. Please be aware of future application deadlines.
* This services is not available for Health Professions majors, second degree seeking students, or for students with international coursework at this time.
***International transcripts and transcripts with coursework concluding in a bachelor’s degree are evaluated only upon formal application and admission to the university. If you have questions regarding international admission or admission for a second bachelor’s degree, please call the Office of Undergraduate Admissions at 512.245.2364.
***Private and out-of-state coursework is initially evaluated by the Office of Undergraduate Admissions and is sometimes transcribed as elective credit. Once students are admitted, they work with their Academic Advisor to further evaluate that coursework including sending course descriptions back to the main campus to see if they will fulfill needed Texas State requirements.
