How do I get started at the Round Rock Campus?

 


 Step 1

Verify that the degree program you are interested in is available here:


 Step 1

Apply to Texas State University-San Marcos (www.applytexas.org) *

Send Official Transcripts to:

Office of Undergraduate Admissions
429 N. Guadalupe Street
San Marcos, TX 78666-5709

* You may also hand deliver official transcripts to the Round Rock Campus, Room 201.

Pay $60 application fee

All steps must be completed by deadline:

* If you were accepted to Texas State for a previous semester, please skip to Step 3 to determine the status of your admission file.


 Step 2

Monitor Admission Status online:

http://www.admissions.txstate.edu/asc
(You will also receive an Acceptance/Denial Letter within 3 weeks)


 Step 3

After acceptance is verified above, schedule appointment with a Round Rock Campus Academic Advisor:

Call 716-4040 to schedule an appointment. The advisor will review your transfer courses, determine how they may apply toward the degree, and determine your eligibility to begin taking the junior and senior level courses that Texas State offers at the Round Rock Campus. 


Step 4

After meeting, the advisor will inform you of your next step:


Attend the New Student Orientation (NSO) OR Be Advised of Course Completion Still Required


Need Financial Aid? If you currently have 45+ hours, we recommend that you submit the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) www.fafsa.ed.gov and include Texas State’s school code: 003615.

Note: If you already completed FAFSA for a different institution, be sure to update it with Texas State’s school code to the current FAFSA by selecting “Make Corrections to a processed FAFSA”.
