Process for Students with Disabilities not Registered with the Office of Disability Services (ODS)

If you have documentation of a disability and want to register with the ODS Complete a Confidential Student Information form (available upon request) from the RRC One-Stop Center, and provide RRC with a copy of your disability documentation. This information will be sent to the ODS office on the main campus at Texas State for review. A student must meet the criteria outlined in at least one of the ODS disability guidelines to qualify for services and accommodations at Texas State University-San Marcos and the RRC.

Following a review of the disability documentation, you will be contacted by RRC One-Stop Center for an appointment to review your approved accommodations. If the documentation submitted does not meet Texas State criteria an ODS specialist will contact you to discuss what additional information is needed.

Process for Students with Disabilities Registered with the ODS

If you are registered with the ODS and are taking classes at either the main campus or the RRC, you can request an Academic Accommodation Letter and Academic Accommodation Forms and sign up for Special Groups registration of classes through the ODS System for Students.

If you are ONLY enrolled in classes at the RRC you must select Round Rock when requesting the Academic Accommodation Letter and Academic Accommodation Forms box. This will allow us to send your letter and forms to the RRC One-Stop Center for pick up. After you have obtained the signatures of all your professors return the completed forms to RRC at the One-Stop Center. Upon request, RRC One-Stop Center will provide you with copies of your Academic Accommodation Letter and Academic Accommodation Forms. The RRC One-Stop Center will then forward these to ODS so we can send them electronically to each professor. Remember, the letter and completed forms must be returned to establish services for the semester.
