After completing my doctoral degree, I published a book called “Encountering America: Humanistic Psychology, Sixties Psychology, and the Movement that Shaped the Modern Self.”I’ve also taught at UT, Mt. Holyoke College, Southwestern University, and (currently) at Texas A&M Medical School (Round Rock campus) on topics related to psychology and American history.I live in Austin with my daughter Jolie (6), son Asa (3), and husband Dan, who’s also a writer.".

"In five years, I see myself doing counseling in private practice, while continuing to teach and write."
