Drew Carmichael, Academic Advisor, was selected as the Texas State Advisor of the Month for June 2013.
 
Rachel Trembley, Academic Advisor, was selected as the Texas State Advisor of the Month for July 2013.

Drew Carmichael is a native Austinite, with a background and passion for writing. He joined the Texas State College of Education Advising Center in March 2012, and advises students seeking Elementary certification. In addition to advising students at the San Marcos campus, Drew also advises for the Round Rock Education program, and has been working with Round Rock staff and students since May 2012.
 
Rachel Trembley has been an Academic Advisor at Texas State University’s Round Rock Campus for just over a year. She was named Texas State University’s Academic Advisor of the Month for July 2013. She is the secretary of the Academic Advising Assessment Team, and a member of both the Bachelor of General Studies Advisory Council and the Occupational, Workforce, and Leadership Studies Advisory Council. Rachel is currently pursuing a graduate certificate in Professional Ethics and a Masters of Education in Professional Counseling. Prior to her employment at Texas State, Rachel taught 8th, 10th, and 11th grade English at Shoshone High School in Shoshone, Idaho. Rachel earned her Bachelor of Arts in Education from Western Michigan University in 2008.
